Disclaimer: few of these FAQS are actually sock-related. Questions like, “Why are socks the most comfortable item of clothing, but the most relieving to take off?” and “Isn’t it amazing that socks work on both feet?” won’t be answered here.
1. What makes a good photo?
Other than a lovely pair of socks as the subject matter, here are a few ways to make sure the photo you send us will work well on a pair of socks.
- Make sure your photo has relatively good/high resolution. The higher the resolution the better the socks will turn out. Pixels are everything when it comes to printing.
- Make sure the photos have consistent lighting. Not too dark, not too bright. This isn’t a thriller movie.
- Make sure the photo includes the entire face. If the face is cut off, the faces on the socks will be cut off as well. Unless, of course, that’s the look you’re going for...we don’t judge.
- It’s highly recommended that you use a straight-on-shot of the person/animal.
- Avoid blurry photos. Sometimes the photos have high resolution but the faces are blurry, and if they look blurry in the picture they’re going to look blurry on the sock.
2. Do I need to crop my own photos before uploading?
Absolutely NOT! We have a very skilled design team here at Sock That. We make sure everything is laid out perfectly so you don’t have to.
3. Am I only allowed to put one face on my socks?
Nope! You can put more than one.In fact, put as many faces as you want. Hundreds of faces. Sock That socks are a canvas which you can express yourself on, although we handle the printing side of things.
Once you place an order simply reply directly to the order confirmation email with the additional photo(s) you'd like us to include on the socks. Tell us the faces you want to include and how you want them to be arranged.
4. What if I have specific instructions (such as I want the hat to be included on the socks) on how I want the photos to be cropped or how the socks should look?
We’ve printed a fair few socks in our time and received many more as gifts. We understand how important it is that they arrive exactly as you ordered them. Don’t worry. We’ve got you. In the magical sock-shopping cart there’s an special instruction box. Fill that in with your special request and we’ll do everything we can to make it happen.
5. Can only faces be included on the socks? What if I want to print something else like a logo on the socks?
You can print a logo or a picture of a hand drawn sheep, or whatever else you’ve in mind for that matter. Upload the image the same way you’d upload a face. It’s as simple as that. For logos make sure it is as high resolution as possible. If there’s a vector version we’d prefer you sent us that, because they look great on socks.
6. Can I see a proof before the socks are printed?
Unfortunately, we do not send proofs because it means delays in production. But don’t worry. Our design team won’t disappoint. If there’s ever an issue with the image or we need a clarification from you, we will get in touch before we design the socks.
1. How long does it take for my socks to arrive?
Once your order is placed, it takes up to 5 business days for the socks to be designed and printed. After that, it takes up to 3 weeks for the socks to arrive for our customers in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Note: It's a very very busy time for us right now due to the large amount of orders we are receiving for the Holidays so there might be a delay in shipping the socks. However, we are making sure your order arrives in time for Christmas so if you don't receive a shipping confirmation within 5 business days, don't worry! We will shorten the shipping time so they will still arrive in time!
We do ship worldwide and if you live in a country other than the ones mentioned, send us a message before placing your order and we will let you know how long it will take and how much the shipping will cost.
Most of our customers receive their orders in less than 3 weeks. However, the local postal service can let the side down on some occasions and during popular holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas they can hardly be blamed due to the high number of socks being sent out across the planet. Order early to avoid disappointment.
2. How much does shipping cost?
We offer free shipping if you purchase 3 pairs or more regardless of where you live. However, if one or two pairs is all you need, shipping to the US is $6.99USD and $7.99USD to Canada, Australia and New Zealand. For the rest of the world, our system will automatically calculate the shipping cost for you at checkout. When in doubt, send us a message!
3. What if I need my socks right away?
We do offer expedited shipping. The rate depends on the quantity and how fast you want the shipping to be. Send us a message before you place an order and we will get back to you with a solid shipping rate. We understand the need for urgent socks.
Refunds and Cancellations
Do you offer refunds and cancellations?
1、Address Changes：If you need to change the shipping address, please send us an email with your order number, the current shipping address, and the address that you would like to change it to. We can change the address up until your order leaves our facility!
2、Damaged/Misprinted Items：If the product arrives defective, we will reprint the item and resend it free of charge. Please contact us here with a picture of your item and order number. We will reprint your item and deliver within five days.
3、Lost Package：If your package appears to be lost in transit, we are more than happy to replace the package and ensure your order makes its way to you. If you do not want the package to be replaced, we must wait 14 days before refunding the order in the event that the package finds its way to you and is delivered.
4、Cancellation / Return：If you want to cancel the order, you must cancel within 12 hours after placing the order. If cancelled within the allotted time, you will receive a full refund. Since your personalized product is unique and tailored to you, we do not accept returns after 12 hours of order.
Bulk and Special Orders
Do you do bulk orders?
We absolutely do! Send us a message with what you are looking for and we will be able to offer a discount. We’re all ears when it comes to your wildest sock concepts and always find the designing the socks one of the most thrilling parts of the whole process, besides delivering a product our customer’s love, of course. Oh, and shipping’s on us. We have created bulk orders for weddings and school reunions and those were positively sock-tastic orders.
Do you offer any donations or participate in any charity work?
We do, proudly! While we are still seeking opportunities to establish long-term partnerships with charities, we accept donation requests from charitable and non-profit organizations. If you have a fundraiser or holiday event and you’d like a nice gift from us for your guests, send us a message. It’s always heart-warming to see our socks go to a good cause.
